Alison Henderson, PT, MPT

Ali graduated from St. Louis University in 1999 and has been practicing physical therapy for 12 years.  Her focus has been on orthopedics for the past 10 years, specifically chronic pain, women's health and sports related injuries.  Her continuing education has included a variety of manual therapy classes with the URSA Foundation in Edmonds, WA.  Her women's health focus is on pelvic pain, pre/postpartum care and incontinence.  Ali also has her Pilates certification through the STOTT program.  Ali feels the manual training has given her the ability to look beyond the musculo-skeletal pathology and consider the influence of other systems on bio-mechanical dysfunction.

In her time away from the clinic, Ali can most often be found at a park or pool with her husband and three children.  She also enjoys gardening, baking, playing piano and doing Pilates.

Janelle Lee, PT

Janelle graduated from the University of Puget Sound in 1987.  From 1987 to 1993 she practiced in and managed hospital-based physical therapy departments.  Since 1993 she has been working in outpatient orthopedics while supplementing her education and honing her skills in musculoskeletal injuries and corresponding surgeries.  With 18 years of outpatient experience, Janelle offers a variety of hands-on skills, including muscle energy techniques, myofascial release and graded joint mobilizations.  She has been trained in the STOTT pilates core strengthening approach and has enjoyed its practical application to physical therapy and general fitness.  Janelle believes that education and teamwork are the cornerstones to the application of physical therapy during the healing process.

Outside of work, Janelle enjoys playing games with her husband and son, sailing, hiking and traveling.

Jennifer Howe, PT, MPT, CMPT

Jennifer graduated from the University of North Dakota in 2001 with a Masters in Physical Therapy.  In 2008 she completed her testing through the North American Institute of Orthopedics and Manual Therapy for a Level III certification in manual therapy.  This training focuses on specific assessment and treatment of all extremity joints, as well as a comprehensive approach to the spine.  She enjoys combining her manual therapy background with exercise and movement education to address her patient’s needs.  Jennifer also works at the University of Washington where she assists in teaching a class on the spine to the doctoral students.

Jennifer feels that her greatest role as a PT is to empower her patients to reach their goals, whether that is to get out of a chair, walk the dog or run a marathon.

Outside of work, Jennifer enjoys running, triathlons, hiking, skiing, Pilates and making a mess in the kitchen.  She can also be found playing at local parks and beaches with her two children and husband.

Tricia Yost, LMP, DPT

Tricia graduated with a Doctorate in Physical Therapy from the University of Puget Sound in 2010. She is also a licensed massage practitioner and has advanced certification in treating women’s health concerns such as incontinence, pelvic pain, and pre/post-partum conditions. She is pursuing specialization in manual therapy through the North American Institute of Orthopedics and Manual Therapy, as well as a certification in Pilates through the STOTT program. Tricia feels her background as a massage therapist has augmented her manual skills in the physical therapy setting.

Originally from Ohio, she has spent the better part of her adult years in the Northwest including a cold three years in Alaska. Outside of work she enjoys backpacking, cycling, reading, and most recently gardening.

Myra Emami, PT Vestibular and Neurological Physical Therapy Specialist

Victoria England, Pilates Instructor

Victoria England is a Stott Pilates trained instructor specializing in individual and group mat and reformer training.  Her focus is to apply Pilates principles to help individuals return to their former activity levels after injury and to build core and joint stability to help clients avoid future injuries and improve athletic performance.  She has also completed continuing education training through Stott for teaching Pilates to individuals recovering from injuries and individuals with unique temporary or ongoing conditions (including pregnant women, individuals recovering from injuries, and individuals with conditions such as osteoporosis, arthritis, fibromyalgia, etc.).

She was inspired to become a Pilates instructor after receiving physical therapy from Life In Balance Physical Therapy & Pilates, LLC which incorporated Pilates training for rehabilitation after a shoulder surgery.  Her rehab helped her quickly return to training as an aerialist.  Pilates has increased her stability and strength and improved her level of performance on rope and tissu aerial apparatuses.  Victoria has also seen the benefits of Pilates training as it has improved her agility and joint stability for rock climbing and cycling.

Victoria is offering small group mat instruction and one-on-one mat or reformer training sessions.  Please ask about training and class times.
